Terms of Service

Last updated: April 28, 2026

Short version Use qrbake for legitimate QR codes. Don't use it to spread malware, phishing, or other harmful content. We provide the service "as is" and can suspend accounts that abuse it.

1. About these terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of qrbake.com and the tools provided there ("the Service"), operated by [TODO: Entity name] ("qrbake", "we", "us"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

2. The Service

qrbake provides browser-based tools to generate and read QR codes. Some features are free; others may require a paid plan. We may add, change, or remove features over time.

3. Accounts

You can use most generators without an account. If you create one:

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section, with or without notice depending on severity.

5. Your content

The content you encode in your QR codes (URLs, text, contact details, etc.) belongs to you. You grant us a limited license to store, transmit, and display that content solely as needed to operate the Service for you (for example, rendering the saved code when you sign in to your account).

You're responsible for ensuring you have the right to use any content you encode (for instance, you should only encode a phone number or email address if you have permission to share it that way).

6. Paid plans

Paid features (when available) are billed in advance for the period you select. Unless required by law, fees are non-refundable. If we change pricing, existing subscribers will be notified before the change takes effect on their account.

7. Service availability

We aim for the Service to be available 24/7, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted access. We may take the Service offline for maintenance, upgrades, or in response to incidents. Free use of the Service comes with no uptime SLA.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

QR codes generated through the Service should be tested before relying on them in production. We're not responsible for QR codes that fail to scan due to misconfiguration, damage to the printed surface, or compatibility limits of specific scanner apps.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, qrbake will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any direct damages will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or (b) USD $50.

Some jurisdictions don't allow these limits — in that case, the limits apply to the maximum extent permitted.

10. Indemnification

You agree to defend and indemnify qrbake against any claim, damage, or expense arising out of (a) your violation of these Terms, (b) your misuse of the Service, or (c) content you encoded through the Service that infringes a third party's rights.

11. Termination

You can stop using the Service or delete your account at any time. We can suspend or terminate your account for violations of these Terms, for prolonged inactivity, or if we discontinue a feature. On termination, sections 5, 8, 9, 10, 12, and 13 survive.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If a change is material, we'll notify account holders by email and update the "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use after the change means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [TODO: governing jurisdiction, e.g. New South Wales, Australia], without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction, except where local law gives consumers a non-waivable right to bring claims elsewhere.

14. Severability

If any part of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining parts stay in effect.

15. Contact

Questions about these Terms: [TODO: contact email].
