How to create a Facebook QR code
- Paste your Facebook username (whatever comes after
facebook.com/), or a full profile / Page / group / event URL. - Download as PNG (for screens, small prints) or SVG (for posters, stickers, event backdrops).
- Print and distribute. Scanners open Facebook at your destination.
Where a Facebook QR shines
- Local business storefronts — Facebook is still the biggest local discovery platform. QR on the door / window gets follows from walk-by traffic.
- Event flyers & posters — link directly to the Facebook Event for RSVPs and updates.
- Community & group posters — scan-to-join for neighborhood, hobby, or interest groups.
- Packaging and swag — "Join our community" QR turns every box into a funnel.
- Real estate signs — point at your agent Page or a Marketplace listing.
- Event recaps — QR on a table tent at the after-party linking to the photo album.
Profiles vs Pages vs Groups vs Events
Facebook URLs all follow the same pattern: facebook.com/[username or id]. Paste whichever you want — we treat them all the same:
- Personal profile —
facebook.com/yourname - Business Page —
facebook.com/yourbusiness - Group —
facebook.com/groups/groupname - Event —
facebook.com/events/1234567890 - Marketplace listing —
facebook.com/marketplace/item/1234567890
For anything more specific than a profile or Page, paste the full URL.
FAQ
What if I only have a numeric ID, not a username?
That works too — paste facebook.com/profile.php?id=1234567890 or the full URL you copied from your profile address bar.
Can I style the QR with Facebook blue?
Yes — use the main generator. Paste the Facebook URL and set the dot color to Facebook's #1877F2. Add a Facebook logo in the middle if you want branding.
Does the scanner need the Facebook app?
No. The URL opens in the phone's default browser first. If the Facebook app is installed, iOS/Android typically redirect into the app. Otherwise users see the content in the browser with a sign-in prompt.
Can I change the destination without reprinting?
Not with a static QR. Use a dynamic QR (coming soon to qrbake paid tiers) — redirects through a short link you can repoint anytime.
Can I print this on a sign or billboard?
Yes. SVG prints at any size. Keep a white border around the code (at least 4 cell widths) so it scans reliably.
